RIMS
There are rims of several sizes (19”, 20”, 24”, 26”…), each one with its unique characteristics (width, spoke holes, etc.). Moreover, a trials rim can have drills to remove unnecessary material.
In particular, most 20” bikes use a 20” front rim and a 19” rear rim. However, 24” and 26” bikes use 24” and 26” rims, respectively, both at the front and rear wheel.
Key points:
· Spoke holes: in most cases, the front rim has 28 holes (32H), whereas the rear rim has 32 (32H).
· Our advice for rim brakes: if you’re going to use a rim brake, make sure you choose a rim with large sidewalls in order to improve performance.
