Echo Mk6 20" Frame (with BB and Bashplate)

Description and materials
- New edition of the most popular Echo frame: the Mk6 20"!
- The main update is the new tapered head-tube, with 1 1/8" top diameter and 1.5" bottom diameter, which notably increases front end’s strength and stiffness.
- Another new feature is the 2-piece mini-bashplate, much simpler and lighter than previous standard bashplates.
- Redesigned main tubes, with optimized curvatures that increase performance.
- The head tube has been redesigned, and now requires a tapered integrated headset (1 1/8" top and 1.5" bottom, without cups), and features a large hole that helps save weight.
- Each one of the main tubes are gusseted to the head tube in order to prevent cracks.
- Spanish bottom bracket (bearings sit directly onto the frame), just like in BMX, which allows for higher stiffness and low weight (this frame is supplied with its own Echo ISIS Spanish BB).
- The chain stays and BB joint is reinforced to make sure this area is stiff and strong enough.
- The BB tube has 4-bolt mini-bashplate mounts (this frame is supplied with its own Echo 2-piece mini-bashplate).
- Features 4-bolt rim brake mounts (spaced at 101mm) and IS Disc (International Standard) disc brake mounts, with reinforcements that increase reliability.
- CNC machined dropouts, spaced at 116mm.
- Echo integrated chain tensioner, with a bolt in each dropout that adjust the wheel’s position, so there is no need to use additional snail cams or any other chain tensioner.
- Note: a rear hub with 116mm spacing must be used.

The 7 Compatibility Keys
Below you can find the main details you need to consider when installing parts on this frame:

- 1) Headset. This frame’s head tube is designed for integrated headsets (not internal headsets). Integrated headsets don’t require cups for the bearings, but they’re designed so that each bearing sits directly into the head tube. You can find Echo’s original integrated headset for this frame here.
Since the head tube on this frame is tapered, with 1 1/8" top and 1,5" bottom diameters, it’s compatible with 1 1/8" – 1,5" tapered forks.

- 2) Bashplate. This frame has 4-bolt mini-bashplate mounts on the bottom bracket shell. Moreover, this frame comes with its own mini-bashplate already installed, therefore there is no need to purchase another one. Anyways, this frame is compatible with any mini-bashplates with the following dimensions:
· Distance between front and rear holes: 37mm.
· Side distance between holes: 39mm.

- 3) Bottom Bracket. A Spanish bottom bracket must be used. This frame is supplied with its own bottom bracket already installed so there is no need to purchase another one separately.

- 4) Rear Brake. This frame has IS rear disc brake mounts, so be sure to use a rear brake of that type. IS disc brake calipers are bolted sideways onto the brake mounts, instead of sitting onto them (as with Post Mount calipers).

- 5) Chain tensioner. This frame is designed for and comes with Echo’s own integrated chain tensioning system (doesn’t require snail cams or any other chain tensioners).

- 6) Rear hub. Since the stays are spaced at 116mm, the hub width must be 116mm as well. In case you might want to install a 110mm rear hub, you must add 3mm spacers to each side so the total spacing is 116mm.

- 7) Fork. The steerer tube on the fork must be long enough to reach the top bolt on the stem’s steerer tube clamp.
To ensure this, you must add the length of the headtube (112mm for this frame), plus the headset spacers (if any) and/or dust cover sitting under the stem, plus the length of your stem’s steerer tube clamp. Once you’ve done this, you’ll be ready to know if your fork is long enough so that at least 2mm of it remain above the top bolt of your stem’s steerer tube clamp.

Geometry (measured with a 360mm x 40mm)
- Space between dropouts: 116mm
- Bottom bracket shell: 68mm
- Head tube: 112mm, 1 1/8" – 1.5" tapered

- Wheelbase: 1000mm
- Chain stay length: 350mm
- BB Rise: +80mm
- Head Angle: 73.5º

Finishes
- Anodized black, with white Echo Mk6 graphics.

Weight
- 1.46Kg (+ BB at 248.10g and mini-bashplate at 53.9g).
