Description and materials
- New Bonz 20” tapered carbon fork, manufactured by French brand Bonz.
- Developed and tested for months by Ozonys team riders Dominik Oswald and Theau Courtes.
- Manufactured from high modulus carbon fibre, with exclusive design by Bonz that allows for drastic weight savings, while still keeping a high strength and reliability.
- Mono-block construction, which guarantees better properties than most carbon forks available.
- Features a tapered steerer tube, with 1 1/8” diameter at the top and 1.5” diameter at the bottom, for use with tapered headsets of said diameters.
- Furthermore, the steerer tube features an aluminium insert that erases the need for a star nut.
- The bottom of the steerer tube is designed in such way that you no longer need to install a crown race, since the bearing sits directly onto the fork.
- Two versions available:
- The dropouts are designed for 9 mm-diameter axle, spaced at 100mm, so it’s compatible with most front hubs available.
Compatibility
- The steerer tube in this fork is tapered, and it has a 1 1/8” diameter at the top and 1.5” diameter at the bottom, so it’s not compatible with those frames that have a standard 1 1/8” steerer tube. A tapered 1 1/8” – 1.5” headset or a headset adaptor must be used to install this fork.
