Description and materials
- High quality stem from Spanish brand Monty, as included with all Monty 231 Kamel 26” bikes from past seasons.
- Made from high quality 6061-T6 aluminium.
- Features a length of 150mm and a 24.2º angle, making it ideal for using with 26” bikes, but it can also be used with 20” and 24” bikes.
- The steerer tube clamp is welded to the main body, with an additional gusset on top to increase stiffness and prevent cracking.
- The handlebar clamp is also welded to the main body, which provides increased stiffness.
- 2-bolt handlebar clamp, suitable for all Oversized handlebars (those with a 31.8mm diameter).
- Sloping steerer clamp gives more clearance (it’s only 36mm tall at the rear and 49mm at the front) and therefore helps prevent damage to the knees.
- Supplied with 4 M6x18mm steel bolts (2x bar clamp and 2x steerer tube clamp).
- Does not include a top cap, available here.
- Black, with gloss carbon finish and white laser etched Monty logo.

Important tip for a right setup
- Due to the bar clamps design, it’s recommended to insert a coin into each slot, then screw the bolts upside down to slowly open the slots (see picture here) and ease the handlebar setup. Please note! It’s very important to alternate each bolt to avoid the clamps from splitting, which would void the guarantee immediately.
